Memories will be made at Year 10 Camp

The Year 10 Camp at Hillary Outdoors, located in Tongariro National Park, is a highlight of the Middle School experience and provides students with the opportunity to challenge themselves, build resilience, and develop confidence in the outdoors.

This week-long programme is a key part of the Year 10 journey and supports students working towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award. Through a range of outdoor activities and team challenges, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, develop new skills, and work collaboratively with their peers in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Guided by experienced instructors, students take part in experiences that foster independence, leadership, problem-solving, and perseverance. The unique setting of Tongariro National Park provides a powerful backdrop for students to connect with the natural environment and create lasting memories with their classmates.

Many students describe Year 10 Camp as one of the highlights of their Middle School years. Beyond the activities themselves, the experience strengthens friendships, builds confidence, and helps students discover what they are capable of achieving.
